From The Pilot House
Annette Burgess - Commodore: Trees The landscape is changing on the Yacht Club grounds. Trees are being removed
to make way for the new managers cabin and to clear out worrisome or unhealthy growth. Many members are making plans for new homes and removing even more trees. We do, however, need to plant 30 new trees to be in compliance with our Department of Natural Resource permit. These new tress must be native to our region so as we finish up the work on the lake side of the property, we will be planning a landscape to include these new tress. If anybody has access to native trees; please let me know. It can be a costly replacement process and the size will take years before shade is again offered to our yard. It is a sad moment for me, growing up here and being a part of our lush history. Although I do remember the big storm that took them down and everything else with them.
The docks should be going into place as your receive this communication. They started work Monday. This is our future on the water. This is our future to keep our club growing and being the Lake Chelan Yacht Club.

Come join us and see just how friendly we are. Families are welcome as many children have grown up to take over their parents memberships and have formed long lasting friendships.
